Remember those photos I posted of the different colourways for the ancient inspired work, well the preparation work is done. I will post the same picture again just to remind you, along with the new photo.
A couple of weeks sitting chopping in front of the tele, produces containers of tessera ready for adhering to any base I desire. In this case a pot, for a start anyway. Always mindful that I don't get shards everywhere in the lounge, they're sharp and difficult to get out of feet. It doesn't matter in the shed, it's made for such doings, and there are no little feet or leather lounge suits to worry about.
I have also been working on the stylised cat worked with all the coloured shards left over from cutting up tessera for other projects. He is completed apart from grouting, which I will do when next I have a full day in the shed. I'll grout the toilet at the same time.
Ken has made the lazy susan, and have painted it. I'm hoping it will make it easier to grout large pieces of work as they are heavy to pick up and turn while grouting.
Remember the gift for the first person to "like" my post well
